TeacherActive is looking for enthusiastic graduates to join our team as a Psychology Graduate TA, supporting a fantastic network of mainstream primary schools across East London from September 2026.

If you've recently completed a Psychology degree and are wondering where your next step could take you, this is an incredible opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience while making a genuine difference to children's lives. We partner with a wide range of friendly and welcoming primary schools throughout East London, where you'll work alongside experienced teachers and support energetic, curious young learners, including pupils with a variety of additional needs such as SEN. It's the perfect opportunity to apply everything you've learnt about behaviour, child development, communication and learning in a real-world environment.

Whether you're considering educational psychology, clinical psychology, teaching, speech and language therapy, social work, or simply want to build valuable professional experience before deciding on your long-term career, this role offers an excellent foundation. As a Psychology Graduate TA, you'll help pupils engage with learning, provide one-to-one and small group support where needed, encourage confidence both inside and outside the classroom, and become a valued member of the wider school team. You'll gain first-hand insight into child development and inclusive education while making a lasting impact on pupils' learning journeys.

The ideal Psychology Graduate TA will have:

• A degree in Psychology or a closely related subject
• A genuine interest in child development, behaviour and learning
• A caring, patient and positive approach to working with children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience working with children or within an educational setting is advantageous but not essential
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, or a willingness to apply for one
