Saw Operator (FLT Req) - Experience is essential

Shift Pattern - Rotating Shifts - 40hrs

Week 1 - 06:00 to 14:30 with a 30 minute lunch break Monday to Friday

Week 2 - 13:30 to 00:00 with a 30 minute lunch break Monday to Wednesday
13:30 to 23:30 with a 30 minute lunch break Thursday
Non-working day Friday

Salary: £28.038.40pa (£28,038.40pa plus £15 shift allowance)

Are you an experienced Machine (Saw) Operator looking to join a dynamic team?
We are seeking a full-time Machine (Saw) Operator to work in a factory environment. Experience is essential. If you re detail-oriented and committed to safety, we want to hear from you.

Duties:

• Following drawings and work orders to cut materials to size and correct thickness
• Checking materials and carrying out quality checks
• Inspecting first off, using tape, micrometers and calliper instruments
• Stamping and labelling finished goods
• Checks to material allocated to be cut, length, width, thickness, spec, alloy, grain direction, lot number before cutting
• Performs daily housekeeping including the surrounding work area and metal saw.
• Performs stock take duties when required

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the band saw safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety standards.
• Verify materials and cut plans to ensure precision before cutting.
• Perform quality checks on cut pieces using measuring instruments.
• Conduct daily maintenance checks on the saw and assist with housekeeping.
• Operate fork trucks and jib cranes as required, ensuring productivity sheets are completed daily.

What We re Looking For:

• Proven experience machine operating (Saw / band saws adv)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to safety protocols.
• Knowledge of cutting specifications and quality control measures.
• Ability to lift up to 20kgs and perform manual handling tasks.
• Team player with effective communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a clean workspace.
