Assembly Operative - Perry Barr (B42) Long-Term Work Progression to Supervisor
Pay: 12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-5:00pm (30-minute unpaid break daily)
Paid hours: 40 hours per week
We're recruiting an Assembly Operative for a long-term position based in Perry Barr (B42). You'll be joining a well-established manufacturer and supplier of rubber components, primarily supporting the automotive industry (and other sectors).
This role offers career progression, with the opportunity to move into a Supervisor position for the right person. Training will also be provided on a wire cutting machine and die cast machine.
Key duties
- Working from engineering drawings to measure and cut cables to specified lengths
- Assembling small components accurately and consistently
- Packing finished products ready for despatch
- Supporting production and quality standards on site
About you
- Background in a manufacturing/engineering environment (essential)
- Able to work from engineering drawings and follow specifications
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Reliable, hands-on and keen to learn new machinery and processes
- Ambition to develop and take on more responsibility over time
