Job Description
A Steel Operative / Overhead Crane Operator is required for a top-tier steel processing company based in the Aston area of Birmingham on a direct permanent contract - no agency period.
You will be working in dispatch, operating the overhead cranes to move steel coils around the workplace, loading and unloading vehicles, preparing orders, banding processed coils, and more.
Your duties will include;
- Operating overhead cranes, handling steel coils
- Driving counterbalance forklift trucks
- Working in dispatch, loading and unloading vehicles
- Preparing orders and receiving deliveries
- Any other duties as and when required
To be considered for this role you MUST be an overhead crane operator with steel industry experience.
You will be working straight days;
- 7:30am - 4:15pm Monday to Thursday / 1:00pm finish Fridays
- 38.5 hours per week
- Paying - 13.49 per hour
- Permanent
