Apex Educ8 is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming secondary school in North West London for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning while supporting students in a positive and well-structured environment.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with the work set and maintaining high standards of behaviour across the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across a range of curriculum subjects.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials provided by teaching staff.
• Maintain a calm, purposeful and inclusive learning environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and follow the school's behaviour policy.
• Support students to remain focused and engaged throughout lessons.
• Record attendance and report any concerns to the appropriate staff.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams and senior leaders.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and professional practice.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with young people and can confidently manage a classroom while building positive relationships with students and staff.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working within a secondary school.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• Confident communication and classroom presence.
• Organised, reliable and adaptable.
• A proactive and professional approach.

• Cover Supervisor
• Teaching Assistant
• Behaviour Mentor

• Graduate considering a career in teaching
