Purchasing Co-Ordinator

Quick Staff UK is recruiting on behalf of a long-established and highly respected manufacturer. Supplying major retailers across the UK and internationally, our client is seeking an organised and proactive Purchasing Coordinator / Buyer to join their procurement team.Working closely with the Production Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring materials and products are available when needed, supporting production schedules and helping deliver excellent service to customers. Key Responsibilities:

• Support purchasing and procurement activities to ensure the timely supply of products and materials
• Assist with forecasting and stock level planning
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and understand their production capabilities
• Coordinate shipping schedules and maximise container utilisation
• Support new product launches and manage reprint requirements
• Maintain accurate purchasing and stock records across internal systems
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure production deadlines are achieved
• Produce and analyse reports using Excel
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within the supply chain

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience within purchasing, procurement, buying or supply chain
• Experience of forecasting, stock control or inventory planning
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• A confident communicator who enjoys building supplier relationships
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
• Experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment would be advantageous
