Mechanical Estimator

An established and highly respected Building Services contractor is looking to appoint a Mechanical Estimator to join their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career within estimating. Whether you're already estimating or have a strong mechanical contracting background and are looking to move into a dedicated estimating position, you'll receive ongoing support and mentoring from an experienced senior estimator.
The business has an outstanding staff retention record, delivers predominantly public sector M&E projects, and is known for investing heavily in training and developing its people.

The Role
You'll work alongside an experienced Mechanical Estimator, assisting with the preparation of competitive tenders for a wide variety of mechanical building services projects.
Projects typically range up to 6 million M&E value, covering sectors such as:

• Public Sector
• Education
• Healthcare
• Commercial

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing mechanical estimates and tender submissions
• Reviewing drawings and specifications
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Producing accurate cost plans
• Liaising with project managers and commercial teams
• Supporting value engineering exercises
• Developing your estimating knowledge through structured mentoring

About You
Applications are welcomed from candidates who have:

• Experience within the Building Services or Mechanical Contracting industry
• Some estimating experience or a strong mechanical background looking to transition into estimating
• Good commercial awareness
• Strong communication skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• The ability to work well within a collaborative team
