Are you an experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner ready to take responsibility for your own room within a warm and supportive nursery?

Simply Education is recruiting two Level 3 Nursery Room Leaders for a well-established private day nursery in Middlewich.

The nursery provides a welcoming environment for children from birth to five years, with spacious rooms, a large secure outdoor area and a strong focus on helping every child learn, develop and thrive.

The Opportunities:

Two permanent Room Leader positions are available:

• Baby Room Leader
• 2-3-Year-Old Room Leader

Both roles offer:

• 30,056 per annum
• 40 hours per week (over 4 or 5 days)
• Monday to Friday
• Shifts worked between 7:00am and 6:00pm
• Permanent employment

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must hold a recognised Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification.

You should have previous experience working within a nursery or early-years setting, ideally within the relevant age group.

Previous Room Leader experience would be beneficial, although experienced Level 3 practitioners who are ready to take the next step into leadership will also be considered.

You should have:

• A strong understanding of the EYFS
• Good knowledge of child development and developmental milestones
• Experience completing observations, assessments and next-step planning
• The confidence to lead and support other nursery practitioners
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

Your Role:

As a Nursery Room Leader, you will:

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room
• Lead, motivate and support the practitioners within your team
• Ensure children receive safe, nurturing and high-quality care
• Plan and oversee engaging activities in line with the EYFS
• Monitor observations, assessments and developmental records
• Support staff with planning, Key Person responsibilities and professional development
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers
• Maintain a stimulating, inclusive and well-organised learning environment
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery procedures are followed consistently

Your responsibilities will reflect the room you lead, whether supporting babies during their earliest stages of development or helping two- to three-year-olds develop their confidence, independence and communication skills.

• Qualified to Level 3 in Early Years or Childcare
• An experienced and confident nursery practitioner
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic
• Able to lead and support a small team
• Organised and confident using your initiative
• A strong communicator and positive role model
• Committed to safeguarding and high-quality early-years practice
