Welder

Astute's Nuclear Team is partnering with an established fabrication business who have a keen eye for detail to recruit a Welder for high quality and challenging projects based in Bridgend.

The strategically important Welder role comes with competitive rates, based off of a Welding Test as well as the opportunity for overtime at 1.5x rate.

Reporting to the Line Manager you will:

• Measure and prepare various kinds of steel for welds and fabrications
• Perform high quality MIG, TIG and stick welds
• Maintain the workshop to standards
• Maintain a Health and Safety within the workshop, and encourage others to do the same

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Proven welding ability
• Experience with various types of Steel and other materials
• Ability to read engineering drawings

The Welder role would suit someone who is:

• Attentive, and has a keen eye for detail
• Driven to maintain standards
• Adaptable to environments changing on occasion
• Able to work as part of a team

• Between 19 - 22 per hour - 39 hours per week
• Significant opportunity for 1.5x overtime
