Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be supporting this Client, a successful and inclusive secondary school based in the London Borough of Lambeth, in their search for an enthusiastic and talented Geography Teacher to join their team on a one-year fixed-term contract from September.

This Client is seeking a passionate Geography specialist who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to contribute to Key Stage 5 being advantageous. The successful candidate will join a committed Humanities department dedicated to delivering engaging and challenging lessons that foster curiosity about the world, environmental awareness and a strong understanding of human and physical geography.

The Role

As a Geography Teacher, you will:

• Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences that inspire a love of Geography. Monitor and assess student progress effectively. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners. Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development. Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes. Promote high standards of behaviour and classroom management. Prepare students for GCSE examinations and support intervention strategies where required. Participate fully in the wider life of the school.

Qualifications Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A degree in Geography or a closely related subject. Evidence of ongoing professional development. A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements.

Salary: London MPS/UPS

M1 - M6 Salaries are aligned to experience within the Main Pay Range. Teachers typically progress annually from M1 through to M6, UPS requires formal application. TLR payments made for agreed, sustained additional duties outside of regular teaching.
