We're currently recruiting for a Team Leader who will be responsible for managing a team delivering high quality training with a commitment to providing an outstanding learner experience and ensuring delivery meets quality and outcome targets and KPIs.
Responsibilities
Provide line management to educators, and co-ordinate training delivery and training operations for designated training area and manage allocated contractual obligations.
Work collaboratively with other managers and the learning and development team to ensure that educators are Suitably Qualified and Experienced to deliver the required training and support the delivery of appropriate initial, and continuing, professional development.
Supports and advises on the piloting and implementation of modernised training courses
Play a key role in training delivery within area of expertise and contribute to course modernisations and curriculum development.
Contributes to the delivery and cascade of culture change, modelling attitudes and behaviours and promoting new ways of working within own team.
Accountable for Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements associated with the delivery of training and assessment of learning with training area of responsibility.
Use data, information and insight on performance (including InVal and ExVal and third-party sources) to drive continuous improvement and learning.
Contribute to establishing and implementing consistent and harmonised systems, processes and approaches to training delivery and identify good/best practice and use this to inform and direct quality and improvement activities.
About You
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in relevant technical field.
Teaching and Assessor/Auditor qualifications relevant to role
Experience of leading and managing a training delivery team, and ability to coach and mentor to support performance and development in role.
Ability to develop and build collaborative and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Results oriented with ability to support quality and deliver improvements across learning programmes
Demonstrable knowledge and experience to respond to learners needs; professionally as a technical subject matter expert and educationally as a learning practitioner
Ability to manage a high demand workload and prioritise effectively in time-bound situations.
About Fire Service College:
The Fire Service College (FSC) is a world-renowned further education training college that provides a range of resilience focused courses and programmes ranging from apprenticeships to fully accredited qualifications. On a 300-acre site FSC provides both practical and classroom-based learning in addition to remote/customer site delivered courses. FSC courses and programmes are accredited with SFJ Awards, Highfields, Institution for Fire Engineers, FireQual, Lantra, JOIFF and Proboard/NFPA. Customers range from fire and rescue services, police forces, ambulance services, the military, various commercial organisations to individuals who wish to further their careers. FSC attracts learners from international fire and rescue services from the Middle East and across Europe.
