A welcoming and highly regarded secondary school in Cheshire is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Religious Studies to join its successful Social Studies Department for the first term of the 2026/27 academic year. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to teach in a supportive school with excellent facilities, ambitious students and a collaborative staff team.

The Social Studies Department encompasses Religious Studies, Sociology, Philosophy and Law, delivering a broad curriculum that encourages students to think critically, appreciate diverse perspectives and develop a strong understanding of ethical, social and legal issues.

The Role
  • Teach Religious Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with Key Stage 5 teaching available for the right candidate).
  • Full-time position for the Autumn Term (September December 2026).
  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that inspire curiosity, discussion and independent thinking.
  • Work collaboratively within the successful Social Studies Department to provide an outstanding learning experience for all students.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Passionate about Religious Studies and committed to inspiring young people.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A reflective practitioner with high expectations for student achievement.
  • Suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers.
