Pay: 14.25 - 16.65 per hour (PAYE or Umbrella)
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4pm

Reeson Education is recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the M20 area from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant seeking a full-time, long-term role supporting a Year 5 class for the full academic year.

The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely alongside the class teacher to support learning, encourage pupil engagement, and help children achieve their full potential. The school is looking for a proactive and caring Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships with pupils and contribute to a supportive classroom environment.

This Teaching Assistant role will involve a mixture of general classroom support, small-group interventions, and providing additional support to pupils who may require extra help with learning, confidence, or emotional wellbeing.

Support teaching and learning as a Teaching Assistant within a Year 5 classroom
Provide general classroom support as a Teaching Assistant throughout the school day
Deliver small-group interventions as a Teaching Assistant to support progress in core subjects
Work with individual pupils who require additional guidance and encouragement
Help pupils remain engaged, focused, and motivated in lessons
Support the class teacher with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
Promote positive behaviour and strong learning habits as a Teaching Assistant
Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents where appropriate
Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development as a Teaching Assistant
Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times as a Teaching Assistant

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting
Experience supporting KS2 pupils is desirable
Confident supporting learning on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Positive, patient, and adaptable approach
Commitment to supporting children to achieve their best outcomes
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
