Warehouse & Operations Assistant

Hydrofast is a growing supplier of engineering products to the UK water industry. We are looking for a motivated and reliable person to support the day-to-day running of our business.

Initially, the role will focus on:

• Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders
• Receiving and checking incoming goods
• Managing deliveries and collections
• Booking couriers and preparing shipping documents
• Maintaining accurate stock records
• Keeping the warehouse and trade counter organised
• Supporting the wider team with general business operations

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to learn and develop. As your knowledge and experience grow, you will have the opportunity to learn the technical side of the business, deal with customer enquiries, prepare quotations and support sales and purchasing activities.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is organised, practical and takes pride in their work
• Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
• Is comfortable using computers and online systems
• Communicates confidently with customers, suppliers and colleagues
• Can work independently and as part of a small team
• Has good attention to detail
• Has a full UK driving licence

Salary: National Minimum Wage dependant on age and experience, with the opportunity for salary progression as skills, knowledge and responsibilities develop.

Previous warehouse or engineering experience would be useful but is not essential. The right attitude, reliability and willingness to develop are more important.
