1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, Part-Time, Warwick
You won't be doing this on your own. You'd share the week with the students tutor, both working to the same plan for one Year 7 pupil. As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you'd cover Mondays and Tuesdays, staying with him through lessons and social times, while your colleague takes Wednesday to Friday.
He has an EHCP, is neurodivergent, and is currently learning at an early level. If you've studied psychology and want to see how theory works in practice, this is the kind of role where that knowledge genuinely matters.
You'll notice patterns, understand what's driving his responses, and adapt how you work with him day to day. Before you start, his other tutor will sit down with you and talk through exactly what helps him feel settled and ready to learn.
