The School and the Role
This specialist SEMH and SEND school in Salford supports young people with social, emotional and mental health needs through a therapeutic and relationship-based approach, helping pupils develop the confidence, resilience and skills they need to succeed both academically and personally.
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and ambitious English lessons across Key Stage 4, including Functional Skills English and GCSE English Language. You will adapt learning to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, using creative and flexible teaching strategies to promote progress, engagement and a lifelong appreciation of reading, writing and communication.
Working closely with the Head of School and a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in embedding a therapeutic ethos across the provision. Through strong relationships, high expectations and consistent practice, you will help pupils overcome barriers to learning, raise aspirations and achieve positive outcomes.
