Warehouse Operative

Warehouse Operative - Newbury

We're seeking an experienced Warehouse Operator to join our clients small, close-knit team on a permanent basis. We're looking for someone who can work well with others while bringing strong practical skills and reliability to the group.

Salary: 27,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Contract: Permanent

Location: Newbury - own transport required (no public transport links)

Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Operative

• Receive, inspect and accurately put away incoming goods
• Pick, pack and despatch orders securely and to deadline
• Maintain stock accuracy through rotation, stock checks and regular stock takes
• Keep the warehouse and storage areas clean, safe and well organised
• Drive a company van between neighbouring sites as required
• Support manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving goods
• Follow all health & safety procedures and report hazards/near-misses promptly
• Assist with basic repair/maintenance tasks where needed

About You

• Previous warehouse/stores experience is essential
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual, heavy lifting work
• Reliable team player who works well in a small team
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car (for commuting)
• Confident driving a van for site cross-overs
