STORES OPERATOR / FORKLIFT DRIVER
Location: East Kilbride
Salary: 26,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time Permanent
Schedule: Monday - Friday Day Shift 8 Hour Shifts
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Stores Operative / Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy warehouse team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment based in East Kilbride.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual with previous warehouse and forklift experience who is looking to secure a permanent role with a well-established company.
The Role:
Working as part of the warehouse and stores team, you will be responsible for the safe movement, storage, and organisation of materials and products while supporting the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
Loading and unloading deliveries
Moving materials and stock throughout the warehouse and production areas
Picking, packing, and organising stock accurately
Carrying out routine forklift checks and reporting any faults or issues
Assisting with stock control and inventory management
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Following all health & safety procedures and company guidelines
Supporting general warehouse and stores duties as required
What We're Looking For:
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence/Certification
Previous warehouse, stores, or manufacturing experience
Good understanding of health & safety within a warehouse environment
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking approach
