We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Capital Equipment Applications Engineer for the Northern part of the UK to join an industry-leading manufacturer of specialist capital equipment and engineered solutions supplied into the utilities and industrial sectors.
The Role
Based from the company s Head Office in Huddersfield, you will be a proactive and highly motivated individual, responsible for developing long-term project opportunities, generating new business and maintaining existing accounts throughout the north of England, Wales and Scotland.

This is not a high-volume transactional sales role. The position is focused on understanding customer requirements and providing tailored solutions through the selection and sizing of equipment from the company s extensive product range. You will work closely with customers to identify the most suitable technical solution, managing opportunities from initial enquiry through to quotation, project award and ongoing support. The role will also involve site surveys, relationship development and project coordination.

Essential Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Key Responsibilities:
You will be expected to regularly visit customer sites across your territory to understand client requirements, carry out surveys and support ongoing project opportunities.
Field based role so must be able to work autonomously within your territory
Develop new business whilst maintaining and servicing existing clients
Promptly follow up leads, enquiries and sales opportunities through to project award
Undertake site surveys and generate detailed and accurate reports
Preparation of quotations and technical specifications for clients
Provide technical advice and recommend suitable products and solutions to customers
Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, procurement and management personnel
Attend client meetings, exhibitions and commercial meetings as required
Ensure that territory sales potential is achieved
Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships
Flexible approach to the demands and needs of the client and company, including occasional overnight stays where required
Support project coordination and customer requirements from initial enquiry through to completion
Any other sales and marketing duties as reasonably requested
