The Role As an Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients and delivering a range of accounting and compliance services. You will work closely with senior management and have the opportunity to take on increasing levels of responsibility as your career develops. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Producing management accounts and financial reports.
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
  • Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance work.
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
  • Supporting junior team members and assisting with their development where appropriate.
  • Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients.
About You The successful candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented accounting professional with solid practice experience and a desire to progress their career within a growing firm. Requirements:
  • AAT qualified or studying towards a higher accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Minimum of three years' experience within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Strong experience of full-cycle accounting, including the preparation of year-end accounts.
  • Good working knowledge of VAT and general tax compliance.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
