Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Senior Development Engineer to be part of the Citi Integrated Digital Asset Platform (CIDAP) Development team supporting the hardening efforts, managing the relationship with our internal/external Partners and the production support group (L1, L3 & L3) and responsible for the full Incident life cycle management for our Digital Assets platform. You will be responsible for the design, architecture reviews and implementation of the platform resiliency and observability features, resolving complex technical issues, platform stabilization efforts, troubleshooting software/hardware, and ensuring optimal system performance, acting as a crucial link between our internal/external stakeholders and support functions. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
  • Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
  • Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
  • Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
  • Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Design and implement features to enhance the platform monitoring & observability, resiliency and recoverability.
  • Diagnose, debug, and resolve complex issues related to our software applications and infrastructure.
  • Manage high-priority support tickets, prioritizing issues based on severity and ensuring timely, effective resolution.
  • Perform in-depth investigations, including analysing logs and code, to identify and fix root causes of issues.
  • Perform system configurations, and routine maintenance to ensure stability and compliance
  • Create and update internal knowledge base articles, FAQ guides, and technical documentation for common issues.
  • Work with engineering and production support teams to report bugs and suggest product enhancements. 

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
  • Experience: Proven, in-depth hands-on experience in full software development and testing lifecycle. Proven extensive experience in software engineering, development support or quality assurance.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge sprint boot (Java) and and AngularJS (essential)
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS) and APIs.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, strong problem-solving, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users. 

 

Preferred Skills (Optional)

  • Experience with private cloud environments, DevOps and containerization (Openshift).
  • Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation
