PSV Mechanic – Join Arriva

We’re looking for skilled PSV Mechanics to help keep our fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready — including the latest electric buses and cutting-edge vehicle technology.
£26.35 per hour (£54,808 per year)
Full-time | 5 out of 7 shift rota - (mornings, afternoons & late shifts)

What you’ll do:
• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and safety inspections on buses
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and air system faults
• Repair engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and other vehicle parts
• Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections
• Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately
• Follow health & safety procedures at all times
• Work closely with the workshop team
• Assist with breakdowns and emergency repairs when needed
• Keep the workshop clean and organised
• Manage and order parts when required

What we’re looking for:
✔ NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
✔ PSV/HGV mechanical experience - preferably within a bus or coach environment.
✔ Strong fault-finding & diagnostic skills.
✔ Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
✔ Full UK Driving Licence (PCV licence - Cat D highly desirable)
✔ NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
