Overhaul & Mods Technician - Doncaster (x3 Roles)

Location: Doncaster

Contract: Ongoing Contract Opportunity

Shift Pattern:

Typical hours: 06:00 - 17:00
Rotation: 5 on, 4 off, 4 on, 5 off
Rotating shifts across 7 days

  • Average 40 hours per week
  • 50% weekend working
  • Overtime available - paid at enhanced rate for hours worked over 40


Overview

We are currently recruiting mechanically biased technicians to support overhaul and modification programmes on a modern rolling stock fleet.



Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out overhaul, strip-down and rebuild activities
  • Perform heavy maintenance on rolling stock components
  • Support modification and upgrade programmes
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults
  • Work from technical drawings and maintenance instructions
  • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
  • Accurately complete work records and documentation


Essential Requirements

  • Rolling stock or heavy engineering experience
  • Strong mechanical background
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering
