Clarence Recruitment are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Teacher of Drama to join a secondary school in Tamworth. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students through performance, creativity, and self-expression within a supportive and vibrant school environment.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Drama lessons across the secondary age range, encouraging students to develop confidence, communication skills, and a love for the performing arts. You will join a welcoming department that values innovation and recognises the important role creative subjects play in student development.
This role is suitable for experienced teachers, ECTs/NQTs, and overseas-trained teachers with relevant experience.

• Plan and deliver inspiring Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Prepare students for performances, practical assessments, and examinations where applicable
• Encourage creativity, collaboration, and confidence through performance-based learning
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively
• Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
• Contribute to school productions, extracurricular drama clubs, and wider arts events

Applications are welcomed from candidates who have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge in Drama or Performing Arts
• Experience teaching Drama at secondary school level
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A passion for creative education and student engagement

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
