The Role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our busy team of a manufacturing site to ensure the efficient management the Transport department to ensure our cardboard packaging are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport planning, routing, load fill & optimisation
  • Driver debrief, supervising, holiday/absence cover, on road issues
  • Arranging couriers / third parties
  • Adherence to O Licence rules and compliance
  • Organising vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Collaborating with other departments, e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Design, Planning and Production
  • Reports, Admin, Record keeping

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Planning forward thinking
  • Organised with attention to detail
  • Good Geographical knowledge
  • Good Knowledge of HGV s, driving hours and vehicle loads
  • Problem solving skills
  • Adaptable, able to embrace change at short notice
  • Good communication both verbal and written
  • IT competent Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.
  • CPC in Transport Management (preferred but not essential)
