The Role
We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our busy team of a manufacturing site to ensure the efficient management the Transport department to ensure our cardboard packaging are delivered to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport planning, routing, load fill & optimisation
- Driver debrief, supervising, holiday/absence cover, on road issues
- Arranging couriers / third parties
- Adherence to O Licence rules and compliance
- Organising vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Collaborating with other departments, e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Design, Planning and Production
- Reports, Admin, Record keeping
Key Skills & Experience:
- Planning forward thinking
- Organised with attention to detail
- Good Geographical knowledge
- Good Knowledge of HGV s, driving hours and vehicle loads
- Problem solving skills
- Adaptable, able to embrace change at short notice
- Good communication both verbal and written
- IT competent Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.
- CPC in Transport Management (preferred but not essential)
