Skilled Train Maintainer
£37.12 Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Permanent nights, mix of 4 on / 4 off and 5 on / 5 off
3-month rolling contract (with strong long-term potential for the right candidate)
Level 3 Qualification in Engineering required
The Role
Step into a hub of technical excellence, handling the inspection, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and overhaul on passenger fleets.
We re recruiting skilled Technicians to join a cutting-edge rail operation in the North where innovation meets precision.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of traction and rolling stock to company standards (Mechanical and Electrical)
- Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions
- Use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials responsibly
- Operate plant and equipment in line with competency certification
- Follow all technical instructions and quality procedures (including ISO standards)
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline
- Must be able to pass a Medical and a Drugs and Alcohol assessment.
