Robert Half is partnering with a well-established and growing specialist lender to recruit a Credit Analyst for an immediate requirement in Basingstoke.

The Role

Working closely with the Head of Credit Governance, you will support the monitoring and analysis of the lending portfolio, helping ensure the business operates within its credit risk appetite while identifying emerging risks and opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing and enhancing portfolio monitoring and credit MI reporting
  • Analysing trends across arrears, defaults, roll rates and loss forecasting
  • Conducting segmentation analysis by sector, product and introducer
  • Supporting the development of early warning indicator frameworks
  • Contributing to credit policy reviews and portfolio risk recommendations
  • Building and developing Power BI dashboards for stakeholders
  • Monitoring customer covenant compliance and financial performance
  • Preparing detailed credit assessments and financial ratio analysis
  • Presenting insights to senior stakeholders and governance forums
About You

The successful candidate will ideally have experience within a credit analysis, portfolio analytics or risk-focused role within financial services.

You will have:

  • Experience working within a credit or analytical role in financial services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and confidence challenging data
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience using Power BI and strong Excel capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:

  • Exposure to banking or asset finance
  • Experience assessing customer creditworthiness and financial statements
  • Finance or accounting-related qualification
