Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Hours: part time 22 hours, Monday to Friday, hybrid
Salary: £35,000 per annum pro rata + benefits

Are you a skilled writer with a talent for building compelling funding applications? Do you want your work to make a genuine difference?

Join Avenues as our new Grants Fundraiser and play a key role in helping us grow our impact through successful grant and trust fundraising.

Working closely with the Fundraising & Communications Manager and colleagues across the organisation, you ll research opportunities, develop persuasive funding proposals, and help secure vital income that supports our mission and services.

What you ll be doing

• Researching and identifying grant and trust funding opportunities
• Writing engaging, high-quality funding applications and reports
• Gathering impact stories, outcomes and data from teams across the organisation
• Managing a pipeline of applications and funding deadlines
• Building positive relationships with funders and partners
• Monitoring funded projects and ensuring compliance with funder requirements
• Supporting bids, tenders and award applications where needed.

What we re looking for

You ll be an organised and proactive communicator with strong writing skills and a keen eye for detail. You may already have experience in fundraising, bid writing or communications within the charity sector or you could bring transferable experience from another environment where persuasive writing and relationship management were key.

We d love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience writing successful funding applications or proposals
• Excellent written communication and storytelling skills
• Experience of working in a fundraising, bid writing or communications role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector
• Experience of managing multiple deadlines and priorities
• Strong research and organisational abilities
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• A collaborative, positive and solutions-focused approach.
