Primary School Teacher

Location: Balham, Wandsworth
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (with potential for permanent)
Salary: M2 - M6 (Inner London)

A well-regarded mainstream primary school in Balham is seeking an experienced KS2 Class Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role is likely to be within either Year 4 or Year 5, depending on the successful teacher's strengths and experience.

The school has a strong Key Stage 2 team, supportive leadership, and clear structures in place, making it an excellent environment for a teacher looking to secure a stable and rewarding role.

• Full classroom responsibilities including planning, assessment, and reporting
• Delivering engaging and structured lessons across the KS2 curriculum
• Supporting pupil progress and attainment
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure consistency across the phase
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and learning

• Hold QTS and have proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (essential)
• Be confident delivering the KS2 curriculum, particularly in Upper KS2
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be proactive, organised, and committed to pupil outcomes
• Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
