Salary: 200 - 240+ per day (depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teacher to join a specialist secondary school in West Drayton. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Art Teacher seeking a full-time long-term role within a supportive school environment focused on helping students achieve academically, socially, and emotionally.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Art Teacher, ECT, or a teacher with experience working with students who require additional support. Art Teacher - The Role

As an Art Teacher, you will teach engaging and creative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will help students develop confidence, practical skills, and self-expression through a broad Art curriculum including drawing, painting, mixed media, and design projects.

You will join a committed staff team that values creativity, structure, progress, and positive relationships with students.

Main Duties:

  • Teach Art across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet individual learning needs.
  • Support students with academic progress and personal development.
  • Prepare students for coursework, accreditation, and portfolio work.
  • Assess student progress and provide clear feedback.
  • Manage behaviour effectively using consistent strategies.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff, and leadership.

Candidate Requirements

To apply for this Art Teacher job, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Art in UK schools.
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.
  • A calm, resilient, and adaptable teaching style.
  • Passion for Art education and student achievement.
  • Experience supporting SEND / SEMH students desirable.
