TIOXIDE to recruit an
Improvement CAPEX Lead for their Greatham site.
This is a senior project leadership role within the Technology function and Site Technology Leadership Team. You will lead the delivery of a portfolio of capital improvement projects designed to strengthen site competitiveness, process safety and engineering performance.
You will coordinate the Greatham Improvement Projects five-year rolling capital programme, managing delivery to plan, cost and compliance standards across a complex upper-tier COMAH manufacturing environment.
What you ll be doing You will:
- Coordinate the Greatham Improvement Projects five-year rolling capital expenditure programme.
- Deliver a portfolio of improvement CAPEX projects safely, on time and to budget.
- Ensure projects follow Greatham capital project procedures and are designed, installed and commissioned in line with UK legislation, company standards and recognised engineering best practice.
- Recruit, lead and manage contractor project engineering resources to meet portfolio requirements.
- Flex project team resources to match changing project load and delivery priorities.
- Develop and lead the site strategy for excellence in capital project delivery.
- Own and maintain Greatham project procedures.
- Manage external specialist suppliers and contractors to provide a professional project delivery service.
- Promote a positive, values-led culture focused on safety, performance, compliance and engineering best practice.
The role includes responsibility for an improvement capital expenditure budget of approximately
£5m £10m and a flexible team of engineering contractors depending on project load.
We welcome applications from people who have - A degree, or equivalent knowledge, in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Strong experience leading capital investment projects in chemical, process, manufacturing or another high-hazard environment.
- Experience in upper-tier COMAH environments would be beneficial.
- Extensive knowledge of CAPEX project management processes, controls and governance.
- Experience recruiting, leading or developing project engineering teams.
- The ability to plan, prioritise, schedule and optimise people and resources across multiple projects.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience managing contractors, specialist suppliers or multidisciplinary project teams.
- A commitment to high standards, safe working, inclusion, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Chartered Engineer status, or membership of a professional institution, would be welcomed.
