LEVEL 3 Nursery SENCO

Are you a passionate Early Years SENCO looking to make a real difference?

A well-established nursery in Oldbury is looking for a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join their team between the hours of 9-3pm, Monday- Friday. The nursery are committed to providing the highest quality care and tailored education for every child. As SENCO, you will play a vital role in identifying, supporting, and empowering children with special educational needs and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the SEN policy, following a graduated approach (Assess, Plan, Do, Review).
• Work closely with key persons, parents, and outside agencies to provide bespoke support.
• Provide specialist education and training to staff to enhance inclusion.
• Oversee records and write detailed reports for children with SEND.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification.
• Level 3 Paediactric First Aid Qualification (desirable)
• English GCSE grade C/4+ (if qualified after Sept 2014)
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
• Proven experience as a SENCO in a nursery setting.
• Deep knowledge of the EYFS and SEND Code of Practice.
• Strong communication skills to build partnerships with families.
