Primary SEND Teaching Assistant - General Classroom Support
Aspire People are looking for a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support a primary school classroom. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting pupils with a range of additional needs while helping them access the mainstream curriculum.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with SEND across the classroom, including those with mild to moderate learning difficulties
Assisting the teacher with group activities and occasionally providing 1:1 support
Helping pupils engage with lessons and maintain focus
Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
Preparing resources and supporting classroom organisation
Observing and recording pupil progress and sharing feedback with teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a primary school
Patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for inclusion and child development
