Job Title: Qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 Minimum)
Location: Nurseries across Derby
Job Type: Flexible / Shift-Based (Full-time & Part-time opportunities available)
We are currently recruiting passionate and dedicated Qualified Nursery Practitioners (minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification) to join a range of welcoming and supportive nurseries across Derby. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about working with young children and supporting their early development within the EYFS framework.
About the Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be working across different age groups within Early Years settings, supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing. You will play a key role in creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
Shift Patterns Available
We offer a variety of flexible shifts to suit different lifestyles and availability, including:
- 8:00am - 6:00pm
- 8:30am - 5:30pm
- 8:00am - 12:00pm
- 12:00pm - 6:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
- Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities
- Ensuring a safe, caring, and inclusive environment
- Observing and recording children's progress
- Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and carers
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification (Level 3 desirable)
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Passionate about working with children aged 0-5
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
