Our client, a social housing provider in Rochdale is recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to work with those facing homelessness. They have a vacancy within their young persons service, as well as their female only service.

Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker include:

• Managing a caseload of homeless clients (young people and adult females)
• Liaising with Local Authorities housing teams surrounding new applications
• Supporting in the maintenance of the client waiting list
• Assessing new clients support needs
• Supporting with tenancy management
• Ensuring clients understand, and abide by their tenancy agreements
• Enabling clients to access employment, education and training opportunities
• Safeguarding clients and reporting any concerns
• Monitoring tenants rent accounts and supporting them to maximise their income
• Promoting clients to live independently and build lasting life skills

Essential criteria of the Housing Support Worker include:

• Enhanced DBS
• Experience within a similar supported living environment
