Job Description

Are you looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school? An 'Outstanding' special needs school in Lambeth is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to help students with their emotional and social development.

This is a full-time role starting in October 2025. It is a "temp-to-perm" position, meaning it could become a permanent job for the right person.



The Role

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm.

  • Setting: Working in a small class of only 6-8 pupils.

  • Duties: You will support students 1:1 or in small groups to help them stay focused and reach their goals.



Requirements

  • Experience: You must have worked with children or in a support role in the UK within the last 3 years.

  • References: You must provide satisfactory professional references to cover your recent work history.

  • Skills: You need to be good at managing challenging behaviour. Experience in sports coaching or care is a plus, but not essential.

  • Character: We want someone positive and patient who is passionate about helping young people with special needs.
