Job Description
We are working with a well-established EPC contractor delivering large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK. Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, we are looking to engage experienced BESS Site Managers for freelance assignments across multiple regions including the South of England, the North, and Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile renewable energy infrastructure projects, supporting the UK's transition to a low-carbon future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations on utility-scale BESS projects
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
- Drive health & safety standards and ensure full compliance with site regulations
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and client representatives
- Monitor programme progress and report on milestones and risks
- Ensure quality assurance and commissioning processes are adhered to
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on BESS.
- Strong understanding of EPC project delivery
- SMSTS
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
