Days only with early Friday finish
Hours:
07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday
07:00 to 13:00 Friday
The Role
We are recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to support a busy Fuel Shop operation based in Burton upon Trent. This is a hands on position within a regulated engineering environment, focused on the inspection, installation, testing, fault finding and maintenance of fuel systems and associated test equipment supporting engine testing activity.
Key Duties
- Fault find and diagnose fuel system issues linked to testing operations
- Install, inspect and repair fuel systems and associated components
- Test fuel pumps and injectors, accurately recording results
- Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on test rigs
Essential Skills
- Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven engineering environment
- Good knowledge of fuel system components including pumps and injectors
- Clear focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement
Desirable
- Background in rail or automotive environments
- Experience working in regulated or safety critical settings
