MHE Driver

MHE Operatives / Drivers are required in Thatcham, RG19 4ND.

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to work with our client as a full time MHE Driver in a well-established operation in Thatcham, RG19 4ND.

Pay Rate as a full time MHE Driver:

• Payrate: 16.03 p/h

Typical working hours as a full time MHE Driver:

• Shift time: 10pm to 6:30am
• 45 mins break (15 mins paid)

Your role as an MHE Driver:

• Operating Manual Handling Equipment (MHE), particularly pallet trucks, counterbalance, high level order pickers and Reach trucks
• Manoeuvring forklifts safely in a busy warehouse environment
• Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto bulk racking or pallets
• Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
• Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
• Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
• Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures

Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous MHE experience required within a Warehouse/Distribution Centre environment
• Must be able to work at height
• Ability to communicate professionally
• Comfortable working in a target-driven environment
• Ability to follow H&S procedures
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Must be able to speak and understand English language
• Ability to be flexible in relation to shifts & hours
• Must be able to work weekends as needed

You will need a valid MHE licence together with a minimum 6-month experience operating an MHE.
