Apricus Resourcing are working with a leading charity based in London who are looking for a Domestic Abuse Refuge Worker within one of their services in Wandsworth. This position offers the chance to contribute to a vital cause, providing support and safety to individuals seeking refuge.
The role is on a rolling locum basis, initially for the next 3-months with a view to extend. The role is offering flexibility and the potential for ongoing engagement. With a competitive pay rate of £14.34 PAYE / £16.88 Umbrella Per hour.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a refuge setting, demonstrating a deep understanding of the complexities and sensitivities involved in supporting individuals in crisis. Key responsibilities include providing emotional and practical support, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the refuge.
Essential skills and experience required for this role include:
- Proven experience working in a refuge or similar environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with ser.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
- Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, including safeguarding and confidentiality.
