SEND Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary School (Monday-Friday)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in a vibrant mainstream primary school. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday during school hours.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access the curriculum, develop independence, and thrive within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies
• Support children's academic, social, and emotional development
• Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting
• Be passionate about making a difference in children's lives
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, patience, and a nurturing approach
• Be adaptable and able to respond to the varying needs of pupils
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills
