A well-established and highly regarded primary school in the Clapham area is seeking an experienced Nursery Teacher to join their Early Years team from September.

This is a popular, community-focused school with a strong reputation for its Early Years provision. The setting benefits from excellent indoor and outdoor learning environments, with a clear emphasis on play-based learning, language development, and early independence.

The school has a collaborative staff culture, supportive leadership, and engaged families, creating a positive and well-structured environment for both pupils and staff.

The successful Nursery Teacher will take full responsibility for a Nursery class, delivering a rich and engaging EYFS curriculum that supports all areas of early development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality, play-based learning experiences
• Supporting early communication, language and social development
• Creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
• Observing, assessing and tracking pupil progress
• Building strong relationships with parents and carers
• Working closely with Early Years support staff and the EYFS lead

The school is looking for a Nursery Teacher who:

• Holds QTS and has recent EYFS teaching experience
• Has a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Is confident delivering a play-based, child-centred curriculum
• Demonstrates excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management
• Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff and families

Experience in a Nursery setting is highly desirable.
