Purpose of the role To provide safe, effective and young-person-centred counselling and therapeutic support on behalf of OTR. Individual therapeutic work will ordinarily remain a substantial component of the role. The postholder may also contribute to the wider therapeutic service through appropriate group work, assessment, consultation, service development, partnership working and other activities that improve the quality and accessibility of support for children and young people. Key responsibilities Therapeutic practice: Provide individual counselling and therapeutic support to children and young people in accordance with OTR's clinical framework and professional standards. Undertake appropriate assessment, collaborative goal setting, review, outcome monitoring and planned therapeutic endings.
