Our client Leicester City Council is looking for a Senior Social Worker to join their Children in need team. Key responsibilities Manage an allocated social work caseload of highly complex issues regularly featuring child protection issues and the Public Law Outline (PLO) processes. Make, and implement, judgements and decisions with autonomy on cases with high levels of complexity, risk, uncertainty and challenge with the oversight of the manager. Plan and implement interventions designed to address needs and reduce risk. Liaise with partner agencies to secure support and services for children and their families. Lead on S47 (child protection) investigations. Manage/Chair a range of multi-agency meetings designed to monitor and progress Child Protection Plans.
