Ivy Resource Group are working with a well-established contractor to recruit an experienced Estimator for a permanent role based in Gloucester. You will be working on a range of education, healthcare, commercial property, residential housing and private clients, with projects ranging from a few hundred pounds to around 25 million. The Role: Review tender documents - study drawings, specifications, schedules and other project information. Measure quantities - calculate the amount of labour, materials and work required for each part of the project. Prepare cost estimates - price materials, labour, plant, subcontractors and other project costs. Obtain subcontractor quotations - contact specialist subcontractors and suppliers and compare their prices. Analyse project risks - identify uncertainties, potential extra costs and commercial risks.
