Class 1 (CE) Container Driver Location: Grays, Essex We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (Category CE) Drivers to join our client based in Grays, Essex on an ongoing ad hoc basis. The Role Your main duties will involve collecting shipping containers from Tilbury and Purfleet ports and delivering them to the client's site. The work consists of short-distance runs, typically completing around 5 container movements per shift . This is a straightforward driving role with no heavy manual handling . Responsibilities include: Collecting and delivering containers safely and efficiently. Coupling and uncoupling trailers. Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks. Completing all relevant paperwork and following health and safety procedures. Previous container experience is desirable but not essential , as full site training will be provided.
