Our client Newcastle City Council is looking for an Adult's Social Worker to join their Learning disabilities team. Job Purpose To provide high-quality social work services to adults with learning disabilities, promoting independence, wellbeing, choice, and inclusion in accordance with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and other relevant legislation. The post holder will assess needs, develop support plans, manage risk, and work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, and partner agencies. Key Responsibilities Complete strengths-based assessments under the Care Act. Develop, implement, and review person-centred care and support plans.
