Purpose of the Role To support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in accessing learning, developing independence, and achieving their individual educational goals. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN. Assist in implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Support pupils with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs. Encourage pupil engagement, participation, and independence. Monitor and record pupil progress and report observations to teachers and SENCO. Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being. Support pupils during classroom activities, transitions, breaktimes, and educational visits. Assist with personal care and medical needs where required.
