Graduate Mechanical Engineer Location: Stoke-on-Trent Salary: 28,000 - 30,000 Responsibilities: Develop 3D mechanical designs and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks (or other CAD software). Participate in concept development and detailed design of automated conveyor systems and associated mechanical assemblies. Collaborate with electrical and controls engineers to ensure mechanical integration within complete systems. Support the production team through the fabrication, assembly, and installation phases of projects. Perform design calculations and materials selection to ensure reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Prepare and maintain technical documentation including BOMs, layouts, and assembly instructions. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in product design, manufacturing methods, and engineering processes.
