Nursery: Bright Horizons Little DISCoveries Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary: From £27,232 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Cambridge

We are looking for a full time, Level 3 qualified Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Little DISCoveries.

We have a very exciting opportunity for full time, Level 2 Nursery Practitioners to join our Bright Horizons Little DISCoveries Nursery and Preschool which has recently opened!

The nursery is a 126 place setting and forms part of a brand new amenities building. The building also has a gym and café (both of which will be available to Bright Horizons colleagues working in the nursery).

Children have access to 8 age-appropriate rooms, all of which open onto a courtyard garden, plus a separate wellness garden and a multi-function room equipped with multi-media technology.

What you’ll be doing

• Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
• Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships
• Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
• Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

What we’re looking for

• Full and Relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
• Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
